Everdome unveils a first look at the centerpiece and heart of Everdome City - Jianmu - also called the ‘’Tree of Life’’ by Everdome City inhabitants.

Inspired by the works of author Kim Stanley Robinson, Jianmu is a combined source of energy, organic life, artificial intelligence and spiritual governance for our metaverse civilization.

The name of this structure - Jianmu - is derived from the cross-cultural, mythological motif of the world tree, forming the architectural and structural centerpiece of Everdome City HQ, connecting all mechanical, electronic and organic systems, standing 200 m tall in the dome structure and extending 600m deep beneath Everdome City.

This part organic, part robotic creation hosts the AI driving city governance, while also acting as a central point to collate, store and transmit all the collective data and learning gathered by Everdome City and its pioneering inhabitants.

Jianmu is an integral part of the city's life system. With an AI serving as its mind, a technological infrastructure as its skeleton, sensors that provide its senses, and plants and bioengineered life systems forming its internal organs, this Tree of Life blurs the line between artificial and natural.

Debate rages over whether Jianmu should be classified as an example of biomimetic, bio-cybernetic, or even 'living' architecture. Questions swirl around its nature: is it semi-sentient or fully sentient? Exhibiting capabilities for growth, self-repair, and adaptation, some even question whether Jianmu possesses the potential for self-replication.

The most important elements of Jianmu are as below:

  • Membrane - responsible for pressuring the space and photosynthesizing oxygen.
  • Tendons - structural connectors linking the core monument with the membrane via arboreal cords.
  • Holographic flat  - serving as a colossal weight, pressure regulator and communications projector.
  • AI quantum computing units - each representing one of the core life systems (CLSs), in constant dialogue with each other, data gathering, overseeing logistics and maintaining Everdome City wellbeing.
  • Tree Of Life Pavilion - neural-connectivity center for spiritual rituals, regeneration and connection with deep human and artificial intelligence systems.
  • Ceremonies Pavilion - public space for displaying gratitude and Everdome specific ceremonies.
  • Recreational Water Tank - water tank shielding Everdome City from radiation from the undercity nuclear reactor and a filtration system for humidity derived from the internal atmosphere and the membranes.

In the first release phase of our Mars landing experience, Evernauts will be able to see and experience the Tree of Life from the Upper Terminal of Everdome City.

As building of Everdome City and its associated experiences progresses, Jianmu aims to provide further AI related features for our community of users, from giving basic information on Martian worldbuilding and planet terraforming, to potentially giving useful information and guidance on creating immersive metaverse experiences for our landholding community.

We are delighted to release our first look at this heart of Everdome City, and cannot wait for you have your first encounter with Jianmu as part of our Mars Landing experience.
