The Everdome Approach to Metaverse Sports Fan Experiences

As most major sports leagues complete their seasons, in many ways the fan experience has never been better. From behind the scenes in dressing rooms to all-access passes, teams and leagues are making it a priority to ensure fans experience sporting events like they’ve never done before. But outside of watching the game on your big screen or attending a match live, there’s only so much access you can get. Enter the metaverse. A digital landscape that brings together users from all over the world regardless of geographical restrictions. But doesn’t web2 already do this?

Enter the metaverse. A digital landscape that brings together users from all over the world regardless of geographical restrictions. But doesn’t web2 already do this?

While the metaverse does have the potential to connect people across borders and countries, geography is not the only boundary that the metaverse surpasses.

Immersive digital destinations bring totally new ways to enjoy the sports, teams and personalities behind them, enabling fans access in ways that are currently impossible - extraordinary experiences.

In our collaboration with OKX and their elite footballing ambassadors in the OKX Collective powered by Everdome, Everdome just began the journey to explore the creation of extraordinary experiences which bring fans closer to the action, and closer to their heroes.

Our proof of concept experience with OKX allowed football fans to dance with their sporting hero, or check out a digital fashion collection. Most of the millions of team followers would not have this opportunity.

Everdome’s partnership with Alfa Romeo F1® Team also explores these possibilities, as we explore ways to bring Formula One fans deeper into behind the scenes action.

So rather than simply reproducing real life in a digital format, we look for creative ways to make the impossible - possible, and the extraordinary accessible for many more people.

Everdome worked with OKX to just kick off imagining, building & presenting truly amazing experiences to bring sports fans closer to their teams, heroes and events in ways impossible in real life.
