The creator economy was a foundational pillar of web2, encompassing a diverse group of over 50 million independent content creators, curators, and community builders, including social media influencers, bloggers, videographers, and more.
Goldman Sachs estimates that this creator economy is currently worth $250 billion and will nearly double to $480 billion by 2027. For context, that's close to the total revenue created by the global sports industry in 2022.
When coupled with the new owner-led economy ushered in by the web3 model, we believe that owners and creators will be a huge part of a more interactive and immersive digital experience, and gear our economy to focus on a creator-led platform. Therefore, our initial goal is to center Everdome’s ecosystem around a creator economy, beginning with spaces and scaling to include different kinds of experiences as our platform grows.
This is the current overview, as we test both functionality & usage. However, we want to remind everyone that Everdome has a dual commitment to also agile development methodology as well as keeping high levels of transparency and building in the open.
This means that while we strive to share our vision and direction at the earliest moment possible, it also means that there are always some potential changes as we optimize our platform and products for success in a very dynamic market.
More detailed information and dates for the first active release of this model will be provided as we develop and mature the product, giving rise to a robust ecosystem where everyone involved will have a way to benefit from the long-term success of Everdome as a platform.
