As April draws to close, we bring some latest updates hot from our development team’s workspace - as we keep building out features, functionalities and improvements to our metaverse platform.
While March saw us roll out a new website, bringing the different elements of Everdome in one central location, April saw our team focus heavily on in-experience development.
Completed Work:
- Worked on ‘attenuation’ features - This means increased realism and improved user experience inside our environment, as you can now only hear the voice chat and VFX from users who are close to your avatar.
- Change of “play” button in UI to “enter a space” - With the addition of new features, such as entering the HQ or choosing random Spaces, a simple play button isn’t relevant anymore. There are now more ways to enjoy Everdome experiences.
- Elevator fixes inside HQ - Now our elevators act more naturally and move more smoothly. We also made calling the elevator and choosing the floor more intuitive and responsive.
- Player movement - We have also improved player movement inside our environment, ensuring more smooth and steady movement for all users and visitors.
- New functions for moderators in spaces - Now being tested internally, we have created moderation features for live events happening inside spaces. Following learning taken from our initial AMA events, we now have the capability to remove chat spam, mute interrupting users, and other administrator roles for improved live presentation experience inside spaces.
- Further live alpha testing of AMA functionality - Alvara’s live AMA was the first successful scaling attempt beyond 20 concurrent visitors.
