An Experience Economy - Testing In Progress

Everdome will shortly commence a series of live tests around one facet of our economy modelling, exploring the concept of Experience-to-Earn, or E2E.

This Experience to Earn (E2E) part of our economy modeling seeks to reward visitors for active participation across curated events and experiences, sparking off deeper engagement across different areas of Everdome’s digital platform.

Unlike traditional play-to-earn models which revolve around gaming, E2E takes a more expansive and sustainable scope on the concept, including:

  • Live events such as digital conferences, project introductions, metaverse concerts and mixed media performances.
  • Cultural and educational experiences, like art exhibitions, metaverse-native museums, and workshops.
  • Collaborative community activities, including virtual hackathons, crypto project challenges, and charity drives.

The core idea is simple: by participating in these experiences, users earn crypto rewards, NFTs or other digital assets, creating a symbiotic relationship between engagement and earning potential.

However, the important word here is earned. In our model, event creators or hosts purchase $DOME as part of their event marketing, which is then given either to the audience for earned rewards, or sent to an Experience-to-Burn allocation.

So how can it work?
E2E utilises core components of Everdome, including blockchain, digital assets, engaging events and community. Here is our current thinking:

Event Creation and Sponsorship: Creators or sponsors design virtual experiences using Everdome’s Metaverse-on-Demand areas before setting reward structures using bought $DOME.  For example, a project wishing to promote themselves with an Everdome AMA can provide $DOME rewards to all visitors engaging with their event.

User Participation: Participants join these events using their wallets. Everdome records their activities, ensuring that rewards are distributed based on predefined criteria, such as attendance duration, interactivity, or task completion.

Reward Distribution: Rewards can take various forms, including direct payouts in DOME, or indeed in any form of cryptocurrency from partners, and in future NFTs & other digital assets provided either by Everdome or collaborating partners.

Real World Prizes: We can also use in the future capabilities to assign real world rewards using this mechanism.

So what are the benefits?
For Users - Benefits for users are clear, as visitors can turn time spent enjoying virtual experiences into tangible rewards - monetization of time.  Everdome and partners will also work towards providing not only $DOME rewards, but other tokens or NFTs for unique incentives tailored to individual preferences.

Furthermore, with this direction, Everdome will look to promote personal learning and development through encouraging participation in enriching activities that go beyond gaming.

For Creators and Businesses - Rewarding users fosters higher participation rates and long-term loyalty, enhancing engagement in the event, project or experience.

Meanwhile, this can also serve as a way to provide longer term engagement with new digital assets of any kind, giving a first mystery box of assets to encourage new users to jump inside the world of web3 and crypto. Digital events such as ours also break physical barriers allowing a global audience to join, meet and interact with each other, ideas, projects and products.

For Everdome and our Community - This E2E model has several clear benefits for Everdome and our community. Firstly, it serves as an easy to understand and compelling onboarding tool, encouraging visitors to jump inside our metaverse.

Secondly, a more diversified experience based economy model improves sustainability by reducing dependency on single revenue, gaming centric models. It pushes the boundaries of real usage of virtual environments, whilst at the same time encouraging active flow of $DOME between sponsoring projects and guests, and visiting users.

Finally, it provides revenue from partners, and use cases for $DOME directly tuned to our platform. As our tests grow, they will be bi-directional, so in some cases users are rewarded with $DOME to join - in other cases, they must pay.

By placing user engagement and value creation at its heart, Experience-to-Earn is not just a new economic model - but has the potential to create a cultural shift redefining perceptions of value in the digital age.

It transforms the metaverse from a space of passive interaction to an ecosystem where experiences are currency, paving the way for a more inclusive and vibrant virtual economy.

So, prepare to join our first in house test events, at first with limited capacity as we check process infrastructure before wider tests.

Come along, earn some $DOME & help us forge the future of Everdome’s ecosystem as we redefine value in the digital age.
